On August 8th 2021 the Tokyo Olympics ended with a mixed feelings and a raging pandemic that is still after 1 year and a half proving to be one of the most challenging health crisis in modern era. Many would argue that given the circumstances Tokyo did what it could. While others including many Tomin (Tokyo residents) would argue whether having the Olympics was such a good idea in the first place. As of the date of this article (August 12 2021) the number of infected reached more than a million with approximately 15thousand deaths. So it comes to mind asking whether the Summer Olympics were a success or a failure. Not to criticize not to judge but to empirically know what the world thinks.
